California Motor-Vehicle Deaths
In 2020, the state of California reported around 3,723 motor-vehicle deaths, a slight increase from the year before. In the United States, a person’s lifetime odds of dying in a motor vehicle accident is around 1 in 107 with one of the biggest causes of motor-vehicle deaths being driving while under the influence of alcohol.
Car accidents leave people with serious injuries and sometimes the loss of a loved one. Many car accidents are preventable with due care among everyone traveling on the roads.
