In last week’s post, we learned a lot about safe driving habits for a daily commute. It is also important to adapt summer/all-year-round essentials pack in our vehicles. I have found it to be important to carry an emergency essentials bag in our vehicles in case of an emergency such as flat tire, running low on gas, or someone getting car sick. It is important to be prepared especially if it is a long road trip like driving across the unfamiliar country roads.
Essentials pack:
· First aid kit
· Paper map (in case cell services is not great)
· Extra water
· Spare cash
· Spare tire/jack
· Spare gasoline (in case you cannot make it to a gas station)
· Cooler
· Snacks
· Books
· Tablets (for movies)
· Flashlight
· Over the counter medication (car sick)
· Battery charger
· Raincoat/shoes/clothes (traveling through different states consist of weather changing)
· Wet wipes, hand sanitizer
· Cool playlist
The list goes on and on. It is important to have safe driving habits and it is also important to have a driving/road trip essentials.
